The few old mopars that have gone through the yards have been ac cars with the same pully brackets as mine. So hunting a set might be hard. The few old yards died back in the 00s when the owners died.
That was the junkyard engine from our 2018 race out of a ramcharger that sat in the woods. It had some blow by. Enough you can see the zip tie on the dipstick to keep it in. The engine that weekend used two gallons of oil in 14 hours of racing. The new engine is not as bad. But its slinging...
So this car was an ac car but the compressor was locked up and the ac was removed. The power Steering has always had the water pump running with it. Looks like the non AC brackets are way different vs what we have. Our Power Steering bracket had cracked. We sourced another from a friend that was...
We looked at a magnum engine but we just rebuilt our LA. Its healthy so not wanting to have to rebuild another engine.
I can snap a picture but its 100 miles away. Ill look at some old pictures to find one.
I guess I want to move to a ribbed belt over the v belt setup. A manual tensioner is...
Hey everyone,
We are working on our enduro lemons Coronet. One of our major failures at our last race has been the v-belts on our car. We flung many belts over the weekend. Enough so that even judge Phil said to do a serpentine belt setup. So looking into swaps. Our car is still running a LA...
Yeah its been hit and miss. I know we borrowed one for our race weekend but I thought it was from a 73. But I could be wrong. I know its only for the Cali Emissions cars.
Long story short one of our guys tossed the vapor canister in our 72 Coronet. Anybody have one. We used one from a Road Runner as a temp unit but needing another. Looks like this. Its the four line setup. Also looking for the cover that goes over that but we could make one if needed. Located in...
So found what we need. This solved all the issues. So looks like we are on the hunt for one at some point. Might be 71-72 only. Will have to do some research.
So we have sourced a loaner 73? B body vapor canister. Going to try that. Switched the fuel pump out but still getting the same pressure. Hopefully we will find out soon.
Hey everyone.
We're at a lemons race and having major issues with our gas tank venting. Our tank is a four line setup. The car was a Cali emissions car but the vapor box is gone. Currently we have a rubber line from the tank to the top of the trunk. Picture will be attached. We are using one...
Yeah so this weekend its probably getting some KYB cause were racing this Friday- Sunday at the CMP lemons race. Might hunt the catalog for the next race. We sill need to check pinion angle and get the car to the alignment shop. Figure out some valve covers.
As for the wheels it looks like...
So looking for 23inch at full droop. These konis are 21 inch at full extension. The bushings also look like they have been used and abused. Stock shocks are showing 22.5 everywhere. So looks like new shocks are in order. Curious why the konis are that much shorter.
Yeah we did not think about that. The perch has not moved at all. However these konis are a couple inches short. So looks it's a parts store run for some shocks.
Hey everyone. Working on our 72 coronet. We just did some two inch lowering blocks to get the rake better in our car. However our shocks are now to short as the shock mount has dropped down two inches. So these will not work as if we go over a bump we can over extend the shock and even break...
So on those the tire on the left was mine. It was on a stock 15x6 inch wheel. if you look at it its very pinched in. Really the 225 is not recommended on a 6 inch wheel. But my tire was sitting on the tire. Buddies 15x9 is on the right. As you can see in the side wall its stretched. His was...
