I think I know the car you mentioned,it is on the Moparts forum,a 500 with a 4 speed I think, nice car! I bought my car in 1987 from a guy in Des Moines,Ia.He told me that the guy he bought it from had used it as a pizza delivery car! I think it originally may have been from Minn/St Paul.
I 've had this part (the plastic gear) fail on two Coronets,a '66 & a '67.The cause of failure both times was that the odometer locked up and took out the plastic gear.Make sure the odometer rotates before you replace the the plastic gear or it will surely fail again!
Tell us more about your car Wayne...I came close to buying a '66 Coronet Hemi 4 speed sedan but passed on it after discovering that it had been wrecked & poorly repaired. It was in NE Wisconsin in 1987. It was a real H code Hemi car, painted red at the time but the original color was black or dark...
After looking at photos of 4 door cars I think the 2 door sedan is the same with the rounded corners on the bottom like BBD noted. I think I might be seeing a rear seat delete in the near future...
Is there a difference in the rear seat between the hardtop and the 2 door sedan? My car is a '67 Coronet Deluxe 2 door sedan,it needs new seat covers but I can't seem to find them for a sedan, only a hardtop.
M&H Electric is my go to place for battery cables...I've never been disappointed with their products & service, high quality, looks right, reliable performance.JMO!
