I have a feeling I'm asking questions I should know the answer to in regards to what I'm dealing with here, but at least I know I need help, haha. I'm about to install Comp Ultra Pro Magnum roller rockers, at this point to determine push rod lenght, but I'm not sure about the adjusters.
Am I...
According to one article I've read the caliper brackets for both pin-type and slide-type has the same bolt pattern and can be used on either spindle.
What I haven't managed to find out so far is if the caliper would mount in the front of the spindle with 73-76 A-body. If so, would this present a...
Thanks.
Yes I have the original Bendix 4-piston now.
If I choose to use 73 (or was it 74..) to 76 A-body spindles rather than 70-72 B-body, getting new rotors isn't a major deal. Guess I can flip the ones I have anyways.
If I convert I feel the newer A-body spindles with matching brakes is the...
Since I'm in norway the expensive 69 rotors becomes even more so before I have them here and returning the ones I have to Year One not an option. So I might as well spend a bit more bucks than new 69 rotors will cost and get something that's much more easy to maintain and even works better.
I...
I know.. was just thinking about the offset difference... but I'll stop thinking about it and measure it ☺
Do you have brackets listed on Ebay or did I misunderstand? If you have, PM me a link.
Thanks.
Yeah, something like that
Considering most, if not all aftermarket spindles are advertised as suitable for 66-73 (IIRC) I would think the difference in offset is from where the "braking surface" (sorry, couldn't think of a better word) is in relation to the spindle. The wheel bearings are the...
Can you guys tell what's needed to convert to -70 brakes in the front? Or if there's a better way to go?
The -70 rotors I have fits the spindle but looks like they have different offset from the ones already on the car. Haven't checked where the difference is, it might be that the "braking...
Guess I'll just get me some adjustable rocker arms.
Any suggestions on what to buy?
I'm not sure I would sleep well at night getting the Speedmaster rockers my parts supplier has in stock.
I have Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminium cylinder heads and a Performer RPM cam shaft on the original 383 in my 69 Charger.
All this is installed by previous owner, but I'm changing the cam because it is wiped out. During assembly I found that at least one of the pushrods are bent (yes I should...
I'm in the prosess of changing the camshaft on this, and I see an oil slinger located outside the crank sprocket mentioned here and there. My engine doesn't have this oil slinger... Should I get one before assembling?
Thanks
I see 11,19" mentioned some places when i try to google some solid info on this.
But Year One have 11" rotors listed for 69 with 4-piston calipers.
The old rotors on my car are larger than, or going outside the pads, wich to me would suggest they are slightly bigger than the correct ones.
Guess...
Ordered new rotors over a year ago, and have finally gotten around to changing them.
But the new rotors are a bit smaller than the old ones, so now I'm not sure if they're the right ones.
The same rotors (7008R) at classicindustries are listed for 70-72 B-/E-body.
If they are different for -69...
Where is the casting date located?
It's an automatic car, and it has AC. (If it's factory or dealer installed I'm not sure, but I would think it's factory.)
Anyway, the engine has have been painted at some point since it has paint where the vin is stamped.
According to the last owner in the...
Hi.
First post in here, so forgive if I'm in the wrong sub forum.
About 18 months ago i bought a -69 Charger 383 that's supposed to be matching #.
I haven't checked the numbers until today.
On the transmission it looks as expected, but on the engine it doesn't.
It's an empty space where the...
