Oh, did I miss that? It is a '67. Yes, it is a real R/T, but, like I said, not a numbers matching engine, so I feel like, once original engine is gone, everything is out the window.
In any case, everyone says 440, which is how I was leaning.
I have lifts going in my garage next week, which...
I kind of doubt the parts I have will result in 450-500hp. No idea for sure, though. I'm seeing crate 6.4s for under $8k. But, yeah, there is likely a lot more to throwing one into a B body.
Kind of a situation-specific question. I have been away for a very long time. Life got in the way and my Coronet has been sitting dormant with the engine in pieces. I want to do something with it, but I just don't have the time, so I'm thinking of farming it out. Anyway, in short, it is an R/T...
Good question. I had just assumed it had stock RB heads. Now that I have checked, the stamping is 2406516. So these are 383 heads? Is there a reason someone would put these on a 440?
This must be a stupid question because I can't find anything about this anywhere.
I am finally getting around to installing my edelbrock cam and valve springs. There are 2 different spring lengths in the box, however (8 of each), and so far of the 3 cylinders I have removed the springs from...
FYI, you can opt for different types of coverage with American Collectors that allow you more mileage. Costs a little more, of course, but not bad. My Coronet would have been a couple hundred a year under their restrictive policy but I pay $340/yr to allow me to drive it more than to "just shows."
Kind of like putting your thumb over the end of the hose, it seems. Sounds like a plausible theory, but, with products like this, I always have to wonder why the manufacturers wouldn't just make them that way to begin with if there truly is a benefit.
I would have picked it up, informed him the world is not his garbage can, and thrown it out myself on the way to the door. If he responded like an asshole to my comment, I'd dump it on his hood on the way. But I wouldn't stop long enough for him to even get out of the car.
