Did a topside & under dash inspection of lighter. The red wire to lighter in good shape.
Topside lighter was very loose. Unscrewed lighter bezel and removed female portion of lighter assembly. It needed to be cleaned. I did not find an insulator washer-(I.W.) anywhere.

Seeking advice on what the cause(s) might be causing this fuse to blow. I have replaced this SFE 20A fuse twice doing the following:
1st time: Depressed/Engaged the lighter element - it blew
2nd time: Used test light; when test light probe made contact with the in dash lighter

Thanks guys. Hopefully I can locate the bracket Center Hole per Mike’s suggestion first and if it doesn’t work will reluctantly follow AR67GTX procedure.

Hi, very sorry I did not reply but my 66 got put on “HOLD” due to issues. The 66 is now on the front burner. I think the issue might be the switch because I found a new Dodge switch in a box of extra parts and pieces. I am going to install it and I will advise outcome. Thanks for your prompt...

Thanks to all the guys that gave me some input and what electrical components I should check; bulkhead connections, proper ground, etc.... Sorry for not advising my findings sooner but been out town.
Checked all bulkhead connections: All were good.
Checked grounds...
Two out of three replies I received said; Bad Switch!
If all electrical connections checkout at the bulkhead & ballast resistor I will purchase a new ignition switch. Thanks
