Good morning to all,
I am looking for stock bore size 1970 383 forged pistons.... Myself and my engine builder have been combing the manufacturers and retailers looking but no success... The block has been sleeved and I can bore 30 over but wanted to look some more for stock size before...
Good afternoon, I am looking for an answer to .... What windshields will fit a 70' Satelite Wagon ?....Would a roadrunner, GTX, Satelite, (all 2 doors) work ?
Thanks in advance !!
I treated my exhaust manifolds with Calyx....They are off the engine so I was able to get them coated as directed... I backed them in the oven @ 300 degrees for an hour... went to take one out and my gloves got the coating on them.....baked them for another hour @ 375 degrees and them them...
My passenger side window channel/trim has separated and I am looking to get the side window setting tape and need the correct thickness "mil size" ...
any help and or experienced advice appreciated
Thanks
What could the widest 15" diameter wheel be to fit a stock rear wheel well?...
car currently has stock 4 wheel drum brakes and has 6" x 15" Ralleys and I'd like to go to 10"s on the rear if possible .... your thoughts ?
Happy Mothers Day to all !!
After I figured out the tach (which was way off) I just took a cruise and at 55mph it read 2400, not 3900 like before. It even sounded quieter to me while driving(don't know why but it did)....I'd like to thank everyone for their input as your knowledge saved me some...
Once again I appreciate all the input....
Here's what I've found so far.... There is a tag on the differential stating 3.23... Like 33 IMP said one tire turns one way and the other opposite...after blocking one tire and turned the other 2 full rotations... The drive shaft turned 3 and 1/8...
Thanks for everyone's input... I will first check tire vs drive shaft rotation to verify gears... even though the tach is after market I feel it's close to accurate. (at least at idle).. I'll get back with everyone when completed.
I am guessing that I have 3:92 gearing in my 70rr 383 3spd auto as it's running around 3900 rpm at 55mph.
I've been reading a lot of the different forums but still a lot to take in.... I'm wandering about 3:23 vs 4:10 … I'd be able to drive to shows and cruises and down the highway without...
