My ‘64 Dodge 880 Custom Anniversary Edition. Current project is figuring out a solution for my brakes. I rebuilt the front brakes but looking to do a disc conversion all the way around. Only issue is brake components are hard to come by for this car (at least for the rear). Current rear end is a 8 3/4 741 tapered rear axle. Does anyone have any suggestions on a disc brake conversion kit? Or should I look into replacing the rear axles to something with brake components that are more readily available? (Is this even an option?) Any advice and guidance is very appreciated!

Some guys are using the 8.8" rear end out of Ford Explorers. They are about the right width and already have disc brakes on them.

Thank you so much for the input. What year explorer are they generally pulling them from?

Welcome from NY.
I don't see a need for rear disc brakes.
Just do the front brakes first and add a proportioning valve on the rear. See how it stops afterwards.

The only reason I was considering a disc conversion is because keyway drum components are really hard to find if not impossible. So was going to upgrade so replacement parts are easier to come by. Unless you can point me in the right direction.

Awesome ride! I had one years ago in gold. I believe it had a 361 big block.
Yeah stock is generally a 361. The previous owner of mine swapped to a 318 for some reason. So unfortunately mine isn’t stock nor does it still run off the push button trans. I’m most likely going to have to run a floor shifter with mine. Unless I can find an original drivetrain and can hook it back up. I have access to a 62 for a donor car but not sure what all parts will work on a 64.

If you just want to upgrade your rearend from tapered axles to more modern, and really am not concerned about disc brakes, I have used '68-'70 B-body rearends in 2 of my 1964 Dodge Polaras. I know the 880 is a C-body, and don't know if that rear axle is wider than the Polara.
