‘69 Charger MSD interior locations

[68n69 Charger]

Good evening folks! Getting to the point of finding a good location for my MSD box in a ‘69 Charger. Can I get some recommendations for installing it inside please? Pictures would be a bonus ;)

Under the dash is where I have mine, I mounted it to a flat piece of sheet metal and used the bolts on the heater box to mount the sheet metal to. Been that way for 30 years.

Depends, are you trying to completely hide it? I'm close to the same point with my build, except I have to put the EFI ECU in there as well. I'm thinking passenger side against the firewall just below the heater box. Shouldn't be too visible. Will be accessible as well as somewhat out of the way - most people wouldn't put their feet that high up.

Not to hijack the thread BUT ... I'm wondering if the coil cold be mounted in there as well ... what's the effect of a 4 fott coil wire ???

Under the battery trays is where I have always hidden MSD boxes.
I have helped a couple buddies wire theirs up under the dash or under or behind glove boxes before.

The under the battery tray is an option on other b-bodies. Doesn’t work so well on 68-69 chargers due to the headlight vacuum canister being mounted there.

Mine is in the dash where the radio would be, but mine is a "radio delete" car (I know that is the incorrect terminology). Hidden from view by the "radio delete" plate, lol.

Tons of race cars have the coil in the passenger compartment , mine included. No ill effects.

I put mine on passenger floor as high up and as close to trans tunnel as possible. This is not an MSD box but ECU for FI. Its out of the way and I didn't have to cut any holes in the firewall because the wire output side was close to existing hole in firewall. Car is a 68
