Good evening folks! Getting to the point of finding a good location for my MSD box. Can I get some recommendations for installing it inside please? Pictures would be a bonus ;)

I locate all mine passenger side inside firewall below Glovebox or
behind door if you do not have the cardboard inside. Try to keep it
where it is away from heat!

Mine is under the windshield washer bottle. I got a black box because it’s a black car and you barely notice it. A red box in red car would work just as well.

Under the battery trays for my cars. I have wired them up under the dash or behind glove boxes on some buddies cars.

Did you mount the box to the frame rail in place of the vacuum canister or on the inner fender wall? I was thinking on the frame rail, but it hangs over the edge and can only get two mounting holes to fit. What did you use for mounting hardware?
Thanks

I mounted mine in the trunk. Before I did so I contacted MSD tech support. I was assured there is no loss of or degradation of signal amplitudes.

That's impressive. I'm mounting mine under the dash somewhere but now you've got me thinking !!! Did you up the wire size for that longer run?

No. I asked the same question. I was told no, not necessary. No loss of signal. There is an intermediate harness they sell.

My idea is that I want to keep the engine compartment looking "clean".

No battery, FPR, washer resovoir.

Same goal. I had all the firewall holes filled, all the cable tabs removed and the firewall pad pin holes filled and the bulkhead connector hole filled as well. There is some stuff thats unavoidable though.

I bought my MSD with an EFI system and it came with that "intermediate harness" but its nowhere near long enough to reach the trunk.

In my case I only need to run the orange and black wires to the coil, everything else remains inside the car. I'm not sure what sort of signal travels through those wires. Its obviously the current that charges the coil but how much ??
