CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — She wanted to take her father on one last drive in a classic car that he had handed down to her.

But now, the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is gone. Natasha Eckles said someone stole it from a car repair shop in Forest Park.

“Yeah, I wanted to give that one ride, or I wanted him to ride in that car. That one ride,” Eckles told Channel 2’s Tom Jones, holding back tears.

The shop had a duty to keep that car inside especially after telling her he would and failed miserably.
A special place in Hell awaits whomever took that car.
So sad !

Shop owner going to take a big hit on his insurance on the cost to replace plus hopefully pain and suffering loss of a Family heirloom.

SS396 with Factory cowl induction is a pretty penny and should not have been left outside. I'd submit Barret/Jackson selling prices to replace it with.

1970 Chevelle SS396, could very well be 6 figure car, now
I'd be putting it inside...

what's sad is the shop didn't do the right thing, someone messed up
or maybe an insider job, someone told someone, someone got it

Insurance will pay for it, probably, if not the shop will have to
but it won't be the same, for the daughter or the old guy/nostalgia sake...
