Nothing definitive on this on Charger forums. Get a new tube and stick from Chrysler and hope it has been upgraded or order a Billet-Schmillet and try that? Reported to be common on LX cars. Thanks.
Yes, its common. No need for a new tube. Some guys have luck getting it out. I have no such luck. I pull the tube(its easy) and push the dipstick out. Use some white lithium grease on the new one so it doesn't stick again
I was wondering what they looked like, weird that they make a repair kit for that.. I have the big yellow T-Handle style in my 99 Dakota 5.2ltr/318ci Magnum, {sorry no photo, no breakage either, after 14+ years} I wonder what the differences is, or if there is a difference in length... might be worth a look/shot...
