Just went out to check the thermometer on the back porch, in the shade. Only 20% humidity, but 119° F in the shade. (5 p.m.)I think the shop might be hotter. The dogs STILL wanna play outside, I run out of energy quickly.
Tri-state Arizona.
Edit: weather channel says its 124°

It’s currently 112 here at 8 pm. Could set a record tomorrow with 119 or 120. I’m not complaining, it makes up for the 27 below with windchill I worked in building houses in northern Illinois. I also remember back in 88, we had a big house going. The lady next door yelled over, it was 105. With the humidity, it was just as bad.

120 sounds absolutely horrific. Stay hydrated while working.

Yes sir, thanks. Luckily except for a some windows, doors or an addition or gazebo, I do mostly inside remods now. Wouldn’t build a house here, concrete work sucks.

hahaha,
Up here in WI, we are having a wonderful year of extreme drought. I mean not wonderful that it isn't raining in regards to farming and such, but this summer as it hits high 90's the difference is it is also NOT 85% humidity where your sweat will not evaporate and you can literally die even if you drink gallons of water, in the shade. So, 95 degrees plus little humidity EVERYONE is out running around in the sun and camping and boating and generally having a blast. I wear blue jeans and t shirts and my work boots doing stuff outside mostly. It is about 100 degrees in my shop but it is still dry so I just leave the door open and turn a fan on.
The farmers are not having a good time with hay this year around here though. It basically stalled out after first crop, but we had some showers the last few nights and the stuff is waking back up, I expect they will be out cutting this week. Odds are good they will lose an entire cutting though this year. We need a little more frequent rain for the corn in about 2 weeks though or there won't be any cobs to speak of.
I will say it has been nice only having to cut the grass once every two or three weeks, and the weather is splendid! People usually go into hiding for about 3 weeks of the year around here so this has been a great year for outdoors stuff so far.

we were 103*-105* yesterday too, but 10% humidity
just slightly cooler today well so far it was 100* by this time yesterday
only like 97* now & 10% humidity
that's still hot
& I can actually see 'real mountains' form my place, out my front &/or back door
it's still hot
it's just not sweat thru 3 shirts/tee shirts in every 3 hrs, every-damn-day for 4+ months hot
like most all of Texas is (& flat)

they say you get used to it
I never did

I have a formula......if the temp and humidity add up to 150 or more, it's too damn hot.......I'd gladly give up 80 degrees with 70% humidity for what you guys are describing

the past 3 weeks here have been brutal, and I doubt it's gotten over 88 degrees

Carlisle was a friggin sauna

Everybody jokes about arizona being a "dry" heat, but it usually is. The other day was 124°f, according to the weather channel, but 4% humidity. I'll take that over 90°/90% anytime. 114°f, playing with the dogs today, around noon.

I like dry heat better than humidity and heat.

Just came in (6:30 local) from playing with my four footed children. Tug a war, and ball chase. Hot, but manageable. I will admit we all ran out of gas sooner than normal. 116°, 30% h.

Forecast for today in Savannah, Ga was 93° F. In actuality, it hit 100° F late this afternoon; and the real feel temp. was reported to be 108° F.

At 8 p.m. (2 hours ago) it was 90°F and the real feel temp. was reported to be 99° F.

Our forecast for Tuesday is 102° F. It's a given that the humidity will be very high.

It's hot here, but other places are worse.

I had 90 at 8:30 in my shop this evening but I don't remember what the humidity was but I know it's probably 70% or more....and looks like y'all's weather there is about the same as here but looks like you have a better chance of rain. Our rain percentages are going down again since the high pressure that just left us a little bit ago is now coming back again from the west. I don't mind the heat too much if we had rain with it but it's just more of a pain in the butt trying to keep things alive outside. If we end up with a watering ban and let the grass die, weeds will take over. I rather mow grass any day than mow weeds.
