Looking for a 19 tooth speedometer gear for the pushbutton trans.1962-1965 Torqueflight I know there are outfits out there that carry these. I'm looking to buy privately first. Used is fine as long as it's in good condition.

They look like this one. Except 19 = dark blue part #2204 358 19DB

Do you know of some vendor who has these? I'm also looking for a gear for the '63. Preferably a green 20 tooth. My service manual only shows three gears for V8 torqueflites. Not sure what the did with MW"s with lower gears. Perhaps the max
wedge service manual answers that. Good luck. If you find more than one let me
know. Thanks.

I just Googled and noticed a few out there. PRICY!
When I get time I'll look again.

There's a chart or two that I stumbled across for these also. (Not the later style) I don't remember how many were on there. Guess I'm researching again.

Quote from an upgrade article,
"Gears were originally made with 16 - 21 teeth. Part numbers are 2204359 for the 20 and 2204360 for the 21 (dark green). There are also ratio adapters available.

17 = orange 2204 356 17O

18 = dark purple 2204 357 18DP

19 = dark blue 2204 358 19DB
20 = green 2204 359 20G

21 = grey 2204 360 21GR"

max wedges used a ratio adapter. i use a ratio adapter in my '65 coronet.

The last one I bought cost me $120 with shipping. Pricey ? You Bet ! and that was about 5-6 years ago. At one time Steve at Imperial Services was trying to have them reproduced.I see his name on that pinion chart.

I have the gear you are looking for. Shoot me an offer in a PM if interested
