1962 Dart 2dr Sedan in Hamburg, Germany

No, not planning on putting a hot V8 in it.
I have a 1964 Dart 383 833 project. That will be enough V8 for me.

There are just two of these 2-dr Sedans in Germany.

Got the Crossmember in. Next will be the floorboards.

I did like mouses, but this is over now since they took so much of the structure off the car.

Finished the floorboards and patchwork at the framerails

But there is still a little gap to close between the floor and the rusty firewall

Next weekend should be end of metalwork.

OK. Finally I could take the supporting frame off.

And I think the floor looks really solid now

Did some bodywork at the framerails..

..and started working at the firewall. Too much air there.

Last week we had a really great wrench’n’drink weekend. This was very cool and I wish to say thank you to all my friends who helped me with this. They all have great skills and they rock!!!

I know were you got the car from, My buddy sold it to you from wisconsin, car was pretty rusty and you are doing a great job at fixing it. I am doing a 63 dodge 330 wedge clone.

The engine didn't want to start today. Ok. Plan for the day was exhaust, which we did.

great progress for me...

did a little cleaning to the 904

and put it in alone. No problem with the 904. It is lightweight

got me a B-body exhaust system from summit. The cheap one. After a little cutting and welding it went in.
I had enough tubes to do a comlete system for a single exhaust from exhaust manifold down to the turndown

I like these nice decals as nice details

Transmission cooling tubes. Bending and trial fitting under the car really sucks

new master cylinder

building a bracket for a nice oldschool battery

and getting rid of all the too old wiring. Everything went out

$160 for a new hot rod wiring harness from EZ. Only one cable had a wrong lettering. Just a little smoke...

and here we go

I didn't use the bulkhead connector as a connector. I drilled though it

my own wiring harness diagram. Everyday I had to change a lot. Manual from EZ wasn't a big help

The next ride to a nice meeting wasn't that good. The car went quite well, until it suddenly shut down and didn't start again.



After we pulled the distributor, we knew what went wrong. At the qick rebuild of the 225, we changed the oilpump with another, that seemed to be in better condition. But the gears killed each other very fast.







So building the engine again with new cam, oilpump and a gear for the distributor.

Now the engine runs fine and I could use the Dart as a daily driver for some days and a nice meeting here in Hamburg.











But I knew there was much more welding to do
