So I was doing my usual perusal of craigslist and found this listed. "1962 Plymouth Savoy /6 4 speed, make offer" Being that it was local I quickly called and went for a look. Needless to say I took it home with me.

Floors are gone, three speed gone but I'm pretty sure this is a factory floor shift. Still trying to figure out where the power steering and power brakes came from? Build sheet was still under the back seat! More later.

one hood pin :thinker:

Snakeyes, I guess the hood latch is busted and the previous owner only had 1 hood pin left. It is rough but still a cool score. Awesome!

no I just thought it was funny how some people make temp. repairs

Un-factory accessories added and now being removed. Fog lights, rear window defogger, custom horns, radiator overflow, cruise control, 8-track player with door and package tray speakers, tach, rear window wiper, air shocks, cheap assed steel spoked wheels, reverse lights, traction bars, 8 ball shift knob, GM arm rests and bucket seats out of a Pontiac.

Items installed that will be staying. 4 speed gearbox, clifford intake manifold, custom headers and line locker.

Looks rough, but good save. Even if it's too bad to repair, there are many parts that can be salvaged. I scooped a 62 with a 4dr parts car about a month ago and have already had two requests for the trunk lid. But hopefully you can make it into a driver! Good luck with it.

Here's mine..........rough too, but going to be saved!

ur lucky to have 2 62s I have a nice hood if u need one

There's a guy from Maine with another one just like these 2 cars.... what are the odds that all showed up in different parts of the country together like that... All you bran new 62-65 guys should start a thread together and see if anyone can tell them a part each other from the photos... it's like the mopar version of the Hanson brothers from slap shot in the last few days...

A little rough but a lot awesome. Wish there were some up here I need a parts car.

I am jealous, its rough but its 2doors, very hard to find that as most got shipped to Germany Nascar as I am told. I have three 62 four doors in my family, plus the shell ofone on my garage wall!Dont fear the condition, I search e-bay motors every few days for 62 Plymouth and sort "most recent" posts so I don't have to look through 3000 items. In 5 yrs my sons now have complete stock factory examples w/all features working. I hope that encourages you. I was tryn to leave them something extra when I go to God and directed my son/s (1 quit) how to fix them.Alas today just discovered lymph probs so they most likely wont ever get to be concourse cars. But they at least got drivers+20footers! As for the guy who got kick out of temp repairs:At least they saved the car!
