Well I am new here and thought it would be best to start the build thread of this hear. The story is a local guy I know stopped by last week and told me he found a 60's mopar and he was going to buy the engine for his "Rat Rod"becaus ehe thinks it has a Hemi in it. Then he stopped back in and told me he went and looked at the car and it wasn't a hemi and was wondering if I was interested in looking at it. So needless to say I went with him and to my surprise I eneded up with this 64 Dodge Polara 2 door hartop. I thought this would be a great cat for the wifey. And well I was right she just love the thing. The engine is a poly and I believe it to be a 318.
The car is in pretty decent shape for a NY car and is pretty complete. The bad thing is that is is hurting in the floors and torsion bar crossmember area. I am alomost thinking that it would be better to go with a straight axle and fab up floors for it. I say this because the Wife actually loves the look of the B-Body drag cars from the 60's.
The first pics are of it when we first got it home and the next are after I installed her new wheels
