Check the top edge of the radiator support (under the seal strip) and perhaps under the trunk gasket.

You won't find the VIN anywhere else on the car. That VIN tag has obviously been removed at one time. You would need some factory paperwork to tie that VIN to the body number, which will be the model year and the shipping order number.

I checked both places and when the car was restored 14 years ago they sanded the rad support so much i can barely read any numbers

Okay THX

In 64 the body numbers are on the rad support and the package tray,I believe. As I noted they won't be the VIN. If you have a fender tag the SO number will be on it and should match the body numbers

that’s the PROBLEM no fender tag

I hate to say it, but you have no way of knowing how your car left the factory. As I mentioned before you don't even know if that is your car's VIN tag.

the numbers are on a 64 Plymouth B-BODY on the radiator support bracket 4704171333 any HELP ?

The first two digits are 47, 4 being the model year, 7 being the assembly plant, St Louis MO. The VIN tag shows the fourth digit as 1, which is the lynch road MI plant. The VIN tag is not original to your car.

You can tie the SO and VIN together with info from Chrysler Historical, if they're still doing it. The IBM punch card does that.
