Optional engine sizes were called out on the stand-up hood ornament, no matter whether 2- door, or 4-door. I don't think 318 showed up on hood ornament, but not sure.

GOOD to know, i have a friend in Arizona who has a 64 Plymouth and he has a 64 with a 383 call out emblem on a 4 door car, I’ve never seen one THX

I have an original dealer brochure for the b-body plymouths.... it is pristine. It shows pix of the hood ornaments themselves, 361, 383 and 426 only.
The funny thing is, it really appears that every car pictured in the 20 page brochure appears to have the tri-color hood ornament....only maybe the bronze convertible appears to have the 383 callout.

my brother in law back in 1964 bought a new 64 sport Fury and it had a 426 wedge and a 426 engine call out, i bought a 64 Belvedere back in 1989 and it also had a 426 engine call out with a short spear, MOST 64’s i see have like you said tri-color it seems to me the 361/383 and the 426 are far and in between to find ? and if found pretty good $$$

All three hood ornaments are the same except for the foil engine call outs. It’s possible that the tri color ones were for slant-6 and small block cars.

i know the 426 is Red but isn’t the 383 and the 361 a different color ?

Here is a pic of a 1964 Savoy Police car that I found in a junkyard back around 2002. I plucked a fair amount of parts off of it before it was crushed. Yes, it had a sway bar.

Mine doesn't have one other than the Plymouth emblem itself on the hood, but you might be able to find one on the Internet that says what size engine it is.
Mine is the 318 I did see a guy that put a 383 in his four door, he replaced the stock emblem with a 383 call out emblem.
