I have started to make the big push forward on my 1965 Coronet 500. In the process of trying to remove the Dash for painting. this does require the removal of the windshield. Problem I am having is the drivers side Windshield Wiper arm will not budge. I have the recommended tool, from Year One.but it just keeps slipping off. The passenger side came right of using a screw driver and a little pressure.

I do not belive the arms are original as they have the air foil, curved, blade to apply air presure to the wiper arm. It is almost like somewone used a super locking compound to the splines.

I saw the other post from a couple years back, finding replacement Arms, and will check the the availability for a replacement set of before I take the dramell cut off wheel to the chrome casing as i have exhausted everything i can think of to this point.

I will try and send a picture.

Thoughts?

Looks like the wiper arm is done for! Appears to have a hole in it! I'd just cut it off and fine a better one to replace it! You might squirt some PB Blaster on the stem under the chrome and let it soak! If that is a hole try putting some in there also.

I have arms and blades for your car when you are ready. Might be someone put a locking compound on the one arm, as it might have been stripped or damaged, and slipped when in use.......

I appreciate the info. How much for the Drivers side Arm? I am new at this so hope my response is proper

I have a nice used one I can set you up with, about $15.00 shipped. Thanks. Dennis. And yes your response was proper.....
