1966 B bodies with rear seat belt retractors

Ok, gents

Per the breakdown of my cars IBM card . My car should have these retractors both Front AND rear seats


So, are they on all 4 rear seat belts, or just 2, if so, which 2 belts

The 2 male ends. The female ends or latches don't require them.

Exactly, as are boots over the front ones. Was what Bill stated, "his car is supposed to have retractors" and he didn't know if it was both belts or just one..

Mine has them on the front as well, but wasn't optioned with boots..

67's came with boots on the front standard, at least on the Satellites and GTX'S, but the retractors were still optional on the rear.

That’s what my 66 is like. But can’t say that someone hasn’t monkeyed with it over the decades.

@dadsbee do you have different buckles front and back? Noticed front belt has two hole male end and rear has two slots on the sides.

Yep, fronts are Chrysler tagged 1965 and rears are 66's that someone threw in at some point in time.

Yep, fronts are Chrysler tagged 1965 and rears are 66's that someone threw in at some point in time.

Belts in that era were labeled 66-1 thru 66-4. What are your rears? With a Dec 65 build date 65-4 would be appropriate for the front and 66-1 could be possible for your 66 Satellite. Chrysler used what they had at the time.

Well, This brings up another question. Mine has a rubber type boot over the base of the front belt , outer only

Is this not correct for 1966 , Or were they optional as well

The belts in my car were redone when the car was done back early 2000s . So I have nothing to go on in regards to OE equipment and none of mine have labels on them
