Gentlmen...
The "Reserve" has been met on my '66 Satellite, thus negating the "Buy-It-Now" price on eBay. As of 09/06/12, 8:42 P.M. E.D.S.T - The top bid is now: $9,600.01 & "NO RESERVE" price.

$9,700.01 is what it will take to "bump" this present high bid.
Just four (4) days remain on this car, as of 09/06/12

Auction ends: Sep 10, 2012 20:07:24 PDT

Car is located in central Florida, the Orlando area.

Here's the ebay auction:
"Click-on" below.

Hi Gang,
Here's an update: Winning bidder on eBay wanted their winning bid canceled!!! Prior to They supposedly had an unauthorized family member place the winning bid. I have opened a dispute in eBay's resolution center, awaiting confirmation from them, & may relist the car in the near future.
"$%^@#^&*!!!" (Yikes!) :(
"So-It-Goes...& Um-Gwadda-Kick-Booty!!!"
Regards,
AL
P.S. If anyone has any aspirations to buy the car, please refer to the original post on here, which has the ebay ad, & my phone number. I can be reached anytime, up until midnight, E.D.S.T. If no answer, please leave a message & a call-back number, along with when it's convenient for you to receive a return call...
THANKS!!! :)

Ebay Non Payers

Al, I am over in Tampa and by your ebay name I see you sell other items.
I know you hate seeing big ticket items being sold to low rating buyers..I see your buyers ID are blocked so I could not see rating but, my guess it was LOW..I sell PSA 60's Baseball cards and 60's & 70's Concert posters, 45's and 60's Albums and other stuff from time to time and hate seeing any one with low numbers bidding on anything over $50..WTF.. How does any one get to bid on a $9,000 car that is not suppose to.:eusa_think:..I listed a PSA 9 MINT Moe Fleer 3 Stooges card sold for $4700 then buyer told me his "WIFE" would not let him buy it....Dah..should of got her O.K. before you wasted my time...Or just total B.S. ITCHY FINGERED Tire kicking dreamer with no MONEY..Worst thing is you can not give them a NEGITIVE any more..If you do not relist try Z-Hill's Car show in Nov..
Cash & Carry..Good Luck..Rick....

Hi Gang...
Well, all is not lost yet (hopefully), & eBay has solved the issue through their resolution center :icon_neutral:
The "Orphan" Satellite, is still here, awaiting a new owner:tearyeyed:
Thanks again!

Update september 17, 2012

In the interest of helping to sell the "Orphaned" Satellite...I will let her go to a new home, for the sum of:

$10,500.
If interested, please "H.E.C.Y.G.!!!" *
I do believe this is a "Real World" :ufo: price, & more than fair, for what the car is.
P.M. (Private Message) me for more info, pics, & phone number, as I believe the eBay listing has been removed, so I can't put in the link.

The link may still be accessible, by going to my original post #1 (above), as I was just able to see the entire eBay listing, from last week...

Thx again:sunny:
AL

Also, The "BUY-IT-NOW" price on ebay was lowered from $12,500 - to $11,500 (by me). The "Reserve" was $9,500, as to my way of thinking (albeit mistakenly), I felt someone would utilize the "B.I.N." but was OK with a reserve price of $9,500 - 'cause with 105 "Bookmarked" watchers, I thought (again mistakenly), the car would easily bid closer to $11K, or higher. I was asked by both bidder's - to cancel their respective bids.
Does that explain it to your liking...???
Maybe I should be sentenced to "3-weeks in the electric chair" for failure to comply with someone else's opinion, based solely on misconception's...
"Roll Two!!!"
Cheers,
AL

thats an 18000.00 dollar car all day long....dont sell it for any less. thats a beautiful car and i love it!

Fair Price

Al, your ebay link is still up as of today..Your car is very clean inside and out and under the hood looks pretty good too....With so, so many rusted out projects for sale that are going for $4,000 to $6,000++ ..I think your price is fair for your car..Add that it is a Florida car not a snow and salted out car from the Great White North even better.. :sunny: ..
You will find a buyer..
Good Luck Rick/Tampa

What a steal....

440

it does look clean, what would be a fair estimate to turn it to a 440 car as far as parts and upgrades without a motor.

Spiros,
Any "B" block engine LB or RB ('EX'-cluding the 66-'71 Street Hemi which has a different K frame engine mount than the LB/RB engines), will be able to "bolt-in" very easily. You would need the engine mounts from the "B" engine, & also the rubber insulators (new ones!). A 440 will be approx an inch wider than any of the low-block "B" engines, and work like a charm. These will bolt to the existing K frame. Header clearance is better, as the '66 Satellite is wider than a '65. These will bolt to the existing K frame. With the 318 & 904 removed, a 727 is also a bolt-in. After the rear trans crossmember is removed (4 bolts), you need the rear trans mount, & insulator for the 727 tranny. I believe the driveshaft with slip yoke is different for a 727, than a 904, & you will need a donor drive shaft from a 116" wheelbase "B" body car. Dodge "B" body shaft is an inch longer (IIRC), but don't quote me on that.
The '66 Satellite used a cable-shifted floor shift (IIRC), so that would need to be upgraded to a '67 or later linkage type. Easiest, would be an aftermarket shifter, (which would be cable operated), but shouold work even in the original quadrant on the '66 console.
Cost...??? Depends on how much you spend on a 440 & 727. Would be less than 10K, but IMHO, that is a high estimate.
Radiator top & bottom hose inlet/outlets are different, although the 318 radiator will work, if flex hoses are used. The bottom outlet on the 318 radiator falls directly in front of the oil filter, so a "B" Block radiator is preferred.
That's all that comes to mind for the swap, IIRC... :p
440's ain't so cheap, but if you do the work yourself, almost 95% of the swap is money spent on the 440 RB, & 727 tranny. I'm certain someone else on the forum, could help with your query, & I'm sure there are many "How-To's" on this swap, available in a search engine, on the internet.
In 1991, I removed a 273 & 904, & bolted-in a 440, & 727 into a 1965 Satellite. Very easy swap...
Thx for your interest!
Regards,
AL

I wish the rest of the potential buyers shared your sentiments. :edgy:
It seems I cannot get a bid higher than $9, 600.
Knowing that things are a bit tough financially for some, & times are not what they were, but I am totally stunned:eusa_silenced:eusa_silenced:
in regards to the low offers.

Thanks again for your sentiments...

Maybe a gorgeous brunette might ease my pain:sex:

Respectfully,
AL Z.:sunny:

Al, the posting is now down from Ebay - did you sell?

No, I have relisted the Satellite on eBay. The format is changed to a:
"Buy-It-Now", or "Best Offer"

Thanks for your interest...

AL:sunny:
