I was going to keep the poly 318 but am strongly considering a late 360 fi with AOD. I have located quite few all being from Vans or two wheel drive PUs. Any problem with the motor mounts as I see in another site these engines come with two styles of blocks with different castings for placement of motor mounts. Second question I just had the upper control arms rebushed with polygraphite bushings. I wonder if the shop installed the parts out of order. the contro; arm is now 1/4 inch wider than the shock tower but the distance where they attach and the cam bolt passes through is the same.Any help or info on either item appreciated.

It's not uncommon to "persuade" the uppers back in place when they have new bushings. I'm not fluent in small blocks, but I've never heard anybody say "oh crap, I've got a truck block instead of a car block. I don't think there is any difference in the mount bosses on the blocks.

Installing upper a arms.

Thanks for the info you were right they need some persuading but they installed ok. I wasnt sure because I am installing a kit from a vendor from a Mopar magazine. I went with poly graphite. I had the K member and upper and lower control arms powder coated. Then the frame shop that only does suspensions was really getting down on poly graphite kits as well as kits in any form as junk. After inspecting the parts they agreed to install my parts so when i went to install the upper arms my thought was crap these parts wont work. So I slipped one side on and with as you say some persuasion and being careful no to destroy the powder coat finish got the other side in place and installed them. The Motors manual shows the cam locks going on from the inside with the outer cam washer and bolt exposed to the engine compartment. When I reversed to what I thought looked right the cam would not seat flush in the tower cam adjusting seat. But it would look better if I could get it to work. Onto the 360-- There is a sight that offers the 360 in two applications and calls out the years it fits in. Anything after 98 has a different application than pre 98. I want to install a later 360 with FI and AOD as I really look forward to making this a daily driver and would like the aspects that a later 360 offers. I have located a few with less than 63k with harness and brain box for under 1500. I couldnt get my poly 318 to any type of equal performance or economy in that budget. So anyone with info on this swap I really appreciate your input .Thanks
