I have a '66 Coronet with power steering. Anyone know if the '67 column will work? I know the '67 column is collapsible. I like safer.....

Short answer- NO.

67 column is larger in diameter (because of the safety feature) and won't fit the 66 dash.

However, if you're stuck on a 67 column, IIRC the 66 and 67 dashes are interchangeable.....but you gotta pull the windshield.

Although the diameter difference isn’t real great the column trim that closes off the dash opening around it is also different.

Thanks to all. I'll stick with the '66. I'm just need to find a part from the column that my body shop lost when they disassembled it for painting. #2660140 Bearing/Support. I have not found anyone with the part - only option thus far is to purchase an entire column.

AFAIK, the only bearing in a 66 column is the top one . under the turn signal switch .

There is no lower bearing / support like later years.

1967 Column lower support is 1967 only
