Yes, did u see the picture? I finally found a partial assembled coupler online, and appears mine is correct…. Either the new coupler body or the old, will not slide over the shoesThe shoes attach at the pin. Assume you have that assembly?
And IVE READ IT TWICE…..unless you had a chapter on why the coupler body wont slide over the shoes and clip that i did not seeI've pointed you to the assembly solution more than once, here's the last time.

I haven’t got to the steering box spline yet…. I can’t get coupler onto steering shaftIt is not going to just drop on persay... You have to line up the coupler and gear box spline and start it then gently tap on. You don't want to shave the shoes as they will cause play and slop between coupler and steering components.
Stear and Gear new couplingAre you using Oem parts or Dorman/Aftermarket parts?
Yup …GOT IT! ThanksNot the best pics, but what I had on my phone from doing it recently.. Clip goes under shoes look closely how shoes are oriented.

Seems? To be ok… test drive hopefully this afternoon…. Is there such thing as a “gap cover” to cover the gap between column housing with shifter and an aftermarket wheel adapter? I have about 1/4” gap and surely dirt/dust will invadeCheck your upper column bearing while there..
That new seal cracks and leaks due to the heat coming from the headers. I recommend the OEM style seal and the spring clamp. Thanks I ordered new coupler with the newer style seal…fingers crossed!
