I am trying to sort thru what the exact colors/finishes are for the jack assembly on a 1967 Plymouth GTX. Is what I have laid out here correct? And where would the lug wrench be stored?

And looking online came across this configuration that was stored with the spare tire....is this correct?

My family had a '67 Valiant we bought new, and I drove until 1980. Your jack assembly and accessories are the same colors. The spare tire set up you show is the same as the one in our car. I remember it well, because I was always pulling the spare out to dry out the well because of chronic trunk leaks. The lug wrench slid through the loop that anchored the spring that held the jack assembly in place, behind the driver's side wheelhouse. The spring hook held the lug wrench tight against the loop, to keep it from rattling. If I recall correctly, this was shown in the owner's manual.

Color combo looks right based on my 67 Satellite. It was 20 yrs old when I got it, but relatively unmolested. Lug wrench was in the well with the tire, but I'd go with what 68BabyBlue said.

After pulling the spare a couple times, I started stowing the jack base in the gap between the driver's side quarter panel and the trunk drop. It was easier and quicker to secure the spare if I wasn't trying to line of the base with the hook. Anchoring the lug wrench was also a pain in the neck, but I didn't want it rusting from the moisture in the spare tire well.

The colors you have are correct. Jack mechanism and base gray, the lug wrench, hook, spring, cup black. The jack pole/post is sort of a clear zinc, not painted. Lug wrench under the tire. The picture of the tire is correct too. Lug wrench, tire, jack base, hook, large wing nut, cardboard cover, cup, wing nut… in the order, hook stud up through the middle of it all.

My 66's have black mechanisms, my 67's have grey mechanisms. Lug wrench originally stored between spare tire and tire well.
