I reckon it depends on how bad you want one and how deep your pockets are. If it was ME, I would keep looking. You could buy a matching numbers Gee Tee Ex for what you'll have in fixing that car. JMO

What's he asking for it? If you want a long-term restoration and really REALLY enjoy the work it'll require and the satisfaction of being able to stand back and say "I brought this dead car back to life," then I'd go for it. If you want to drive a '67 GTX right away, then do like Rusty says and find one that's turnkey already. Lots of money either way.

someone has to keep you focused , you got a project now with your 70, I wouldnt bite off a big one like that right now , unless you can buy it real cheap and flip in a day or two , because you will get overwhelmed real quick . so josh stay focused on your nice 70 buddy :headbang:

Honestly it doesn't even look like a good parts car for a GTX. Looks like almost everything GTX related has been stripped off. What is left is a rusted out hulk. Just to get the body in good shape will cost you Thousands and then you have to go but all the GTX specific parts from everyone who wants to retire of said parts.

Remember one thing, although GTXs are neat, I love them ( I have three), they really are not rare. Over 10,000 GTXs were built. This one's just an automatic, so it gets put into the common category.

I did this with an RT, but I had all the parts to put it together and I still regret it. That car is most likely only worth anthing for the HP engine and trans if they are really HP.

Good luck.

Now who on here suffers from that!! Josh, like was said b4 that $2500 you'd spend to get that car would go a long way to your 70 to make look xtra nice. I got rid of a couple of my vehicles cause i kept thinking i needed to get parts for them so i can eventually fix them up,but all i was really doing was neglecting the one i needed to fix up (my 69 RR).

No doubt Roger...I have the project RR and my running/driving Coronet to maintain. Very hard to find the time and funds for both. The GTX is definitely restorable, but having two projects to be working-spending on.......well, might as consider that as a full time job.

if you can`t admitt to having that disorder then you are a horder :headbang::headbang::grin:

Love the 67 GTX's...had a couple...restored a couple.....this is ALOT of work...ALOT of $$$$$....I wouldn't consider it even at a lower price....BUT...that's what makes the world go round....different people...different opinions

My last one..sold last year and regretting it since
