Mercy, is $120 the going rate these days?

We’re you using a pilot bushing and a pilot bearing? Using both was not recommended according to Brewers.

Did a little more bell housing , throw out bearing… painting Z bar and new bushing next.

at least 3 attempts to install transmission. Frustrating. Will try again this weekend , Extra hand…..

Hook up the clutch linkage and put a couple threaded dowels (4” long) in the bell housing bolt holes to help carry the transmission. Put the yoke in and put it in 4th gear. When sliding the transmission in, if it hangs up, try rotating the yoke a few degrees and that might do it. But most likely you need to get a helper in the drivers seat and while the transmission is slid in as far as it will go, have the helper slowly press the clutch pedal down while your wiggling the transmission forward. This allows the disc to move slightly while the input snout finds the pilot bushing hole and slides in. So far I’ve never had this fail me (hopefully you won’t be the first).

By myself, I've just loosened the pressure plate bolts enough so that it was holding the disc with little pressure and then wiggle the transmission in.

Mine was really kicking my butt last time I put it in, and that was just r-n-r the trans without moving the clutch. finally I was ably to get enough forward pressure on the trans to pop it in.
In the past I have hooked up the clutch linkage and had a helper push on the pedal while I shoved in the trans.

Sent photos to passion and bent clips to a 45” angle. Loosen pressure plate & the transmission is back in

Disappointed, transmission is back out. didn't pick up on original problems of clutch failure. fork angle to Z-bar was incorrect. Wrong Clutch fork !!!!

My bellhousing has 2 holes where the ball stud can go. (I may be missing a bracket, this was cobbled together 35 years ago.)
I used the top one I think.
