I'm wondering if anyone has run into this problem. As I slowly restore my 1967 Plymouth GTX, I keep running into obstacles and delays when it comes to finding the smallest items, I have had my share of extensive searches, and long lead times. Forbbodiesonly has been a wealth of information, resources, and help, I'm sure I'm not alone in my endeavor when it comes to the restoration of an older classic car! The latest issue is, I removed my front door window rear trim piece that seals the front door window to my rear quarter window to polish and clean them not taking into consideration the condition of that thin rubber seal between the trim piece and the front window. The seals were cracking, flaking, and brittle and really needed to be replaced anyways. I have been looking for the seals or something that someone has used to adhere that piece to the front door windows. It really needs to be super thin, therein lies the problem. I'm hoping that someone has experienced this same issue and can provide me with a solution. As always, if anyone runs into issues with restoring a 1967 GTX always feel free to reach out to me also, an if I can I'm always willing to try and help.

Try Detroit Muscle Technologies. Some glass shops have a very thin rubber strip that the window pushes the strip into the channel and holds it in place.
Hope this helps.
