Grill supposed to arrive today, prepping everything else making sure I have all other pieces so have a mix of old and new with the old grill out as well.

2 O'clock delivery turned into 630 so just finished unboxing the new Grille from Classic Industries. Came in 2 shipping boxes with each piece in it's own box as well. A lot of Popcorn protecting them. first thing you notice is the dark color and heavier feel, held both next to each other and a few differences but overall an improvement. its a little thicker and you are not afraid to actually handle them. The headlight covers brackets are one big change as the stock bracket was a bent style and the new ones are flat with longer studs.

Do the headlight doors feel more flimsy or have slack without that bent metal base?

There is Slack and with heat sure to warp and pop off if someone forgets to use the nut to secure them. I will post once everything is installed if there an issue. so far actually impressed with the pressing.

Putting together and here is where things get interesting. comes with bushings and clips to give the doors clearance and tighter fit. when mating the buckets to the center piece, the alignment holes were too small so used a small bit to widen up for fit, the grille doesn't mesh up in some areas and has to be wrestled into place. then the big Oh F### moment came the color shade are way off. put both badges on and looks good either way and fits excellent.

ready to go in, only issue so far has been alignment with new chrome trim made in Taiwan. doesn't line up and fall into place. tested it with the old trim and fits correctly so would've been better off trying to refinish old pieces.

installed and no problems with cover clearance. gapping is off so going to loosen up fenders and front and get a better fit to everything, also next time remember to do the arms for cover out of vehicle as had issues install some of the screws. but overall a better look than before as the grille was cut out for bumper style towbars. next is to install Halo lights and LED front signals as the sides and rear are already LED

Nice! MSG! US Army, and Kempner TX! I lived in Cove for 10 yrs, and at Hood for 10+ F'in years, 1st Cav for 8, Korea for one year, and back to Hood at 3rd Sig. Dairy Queen in Cove still do car shows on Fri night?

Had to wipe all the dust off so I figure Update some pics and the current stable mate

working on the dash and comparing gap before I install the gages.

changing out the Tire and Rim combo. going from 15 x10 Cragers SST to 17 x 10 Magnums. making sure the measurements are correct for the size tires I can fit without rubbing

finally found someone to weld fuel tank brackets and repaint undercarriage, today Installed fuel tank into place can now I can work on the suspension and fuel lines.
