1968 Coronet 500

You were right!

Right there gentleman, is as good an example as you'll ever get, of just what these cars, any car for that matter, can mean to someone.

They can provide some very beneficial therapy and longevity, to a mans life and well being, far more than anyone (especially wives) can understand.

Good luck with it mate, I wish you all the best!

If you want to see a short flick on just what you have done and why, I recommend watching 'love the beast' by Eric Bana, it or portions of it may be on youtube.

Aussie Coronet: You were right! I watched "Love the Beast" and I totally get it. I even feel guilty about selling all those early cars. I can really identify with Eric when he destroyed his pride and joy, I did a similar thing this summer on my own Beast. Thanks again Mate!

My 68 Coronet has a Girlfriend!

Yes my rather rough '68 Coronet has found himself a girlfriend... She's rather nasty, as she loves to go out topless... She is a numbers matching fairly rustfree 68 Coronet 500 convertible, with good solid floors and new trunk floor. She also came with new carpets and top, but the restoration hasn't started yet. Her rear quarters are in dire need of replacing, but overall she is quite presentable.. At one time she participated at The Mopar Nationals and has the window stickers to show for it! She is also a driver, and I'm very pleased... Just had to share LOL.

Congrat's on the vert!! Not a whole lot of them floating around anymore..Looks like a real good find. Parts aren't too bad to find for them besides a decent trunk lid and the almost impossible convertible wheel houses....

Have had mine going on 17 years....

Just read your story now and sounds to me like you were meant to own that Coronet. Love the idea of adding the ragtop. Good luck with everything.
