1969 A12 Super Bee

Cool project,I miss my A12 Superbee every day! This is it next to my 70 Charger. I still have the Charger,my daughter in the picture is 32 years old now! Good luck with the A12 project,I was told by a friend that my A12 bee is now residing in Maine,and is being restored back to Bahama Yellow. It was painted Sublime green when I owned it.

You're car may of originally had buckets but the ones in there now are from a 70+ Car. You mite of already knew that though.

This is the second hood I got for the car as the first one was a little too thin for my liking. Also picked up a few 1969 HP blocks (each subsequent one I find is closer to the Spring of 69 and is increasingly expensive lol). Been kicking around the idea of making it a 4 speed..

The headliner, carpet and rear package tray cover should be here mid-March.

While I like 4speeds I’d leave it an auto on the column, it’s original and kinda more street racer that way no fancy console... imo, your car just share as you go!

I’d have a real hard time converting a real A12 car to a 4 speed.

and that’s coming from a guy that converted his auto RT to a 4 speed.

Not necessarily how I would have ordered it from Dodge back in the day but I will still take it.

It would have been ordered with an 18 spline Hemi 4 speed... I was around back then and MOST of us would have walked away from an automatic.....
BUT, I would keep this car as is...... WAY too valuable to screw it up

All a12 cars got a 4.10 Dana

Maybe you are thinking of the later V code cars, and Hemis, with the 727.

Could be, I certainly am NOT a numbers guru like some of the pro's on here.. i know my car had a Dana, but it was a 4 speed

It's the rarest of the A12s - WM21 Auto.

You said it yourself.. So with that in mind, it might be a lot easier and cheaper to put it back original, sell it, then buy a nice original 4 spd A12, or whatever. Plus just doing a trans conversion doesn't seem like it would be much fun or inexpensive. I'd really think about that idea awhile.. I modified my car a lot as I restored it but it's not rare. Even so, I did try to keep most things where they could be switched back to original/stock without a lot of surgery. And there were lots of things that I thought about a long time and more that I wished I had thought about a little more.. Just my opinion.. Above all tho do it "Your Way".... I'll tell you a little secret if you don't tell anyone, I talk to my car a lot and "she" tells me some of the things she wants, she also hurts me sometimes when I don't listen to her.

I went to the Mopar Nationals in Columbus this weekend for the first time and I had a blast. Scored some great parts for the restoration and walked a total of 13 miles on Friday. To everyone that was there, I was the one walking around with a Great Dane.

I got all the wiring for under the hood, a matching set of A12 automatic carbs that are also date correct as well as what very well may be an original A12 intake. If anyone has any thoughts please share. I also got the lid, filters and base plate seal from Ricks Parts.
