I am going to get new wheels and tires for my car and was wondring what size I should put on it. 14" came on it new and now some guys are telling me to put 15" on it. Whats your thoughts. What about tires BF Goodrich TA. I am not driving around with Bias plys.

Is it a real R/T? Are you concerned wit originality? What kinda wheels does it have now? All these questions should be factored into your decision. Goodrich makes a good tire.

What is the intent for the car ?? stocker ?? street bruiser ?? street/strip car?? drag car ?? pro-touring/Resto-Mod ??... we need more information... The 2nd gen 1968-70 Chargers, they have very large wheel wells, they can handle allot more tire than what they come with... IMHFO the tiny winney stock 14" diameter wheels look like little roller skate wheels... If your not worried about 100% OEM or Factory correct crap, then I suggest put 15's or up-to maybe 17" diameter wheels on it, you will like the look of the wheel wells, much better tire selections & looking "filled up" & size approriate, somewhat much better than with the tiny winney OEM original 14"er's do... You can get the stock looking wheels even in the Magnum 500 or Ralleys, in larger diameter if that's the somewhat stock appearing type look you want... Wheels are such a personal touch on a car, "it's like jewery everyone likes what they like" & to each their own opinions... You can easily go with 8"-11" wide & 13" of girth & 29" tall in the rear of most 2nd gen B-Bodies, with the proper offset/back-spacing & 7"-8" wide wheels in the front with out to many issues... It really depends on what you like... BFG's are good tires, I use them allot...

isnt someone on here selling a set of 17'' year one magnums???

Definitely at least 15" and I'd go with magnums. My pennies.

You need a 15x8 minimum to fill the wheel well. Stock pizza cutters don't cut it in my opinion.

Yes it is a real Rt, will be wearing all original parts except the wheels. Underside some original paint.JPG

Only run 14's if you want to run the original style rims. Otherwise step up to at least a low profile 60 series 15" or 17" with bigger brakes for a less of a crap ride.

Small tires are just a major handicap for any performance car.
