Hey everyone,

I found a 1969 Dart with a 340 and a 4 speed. I have asked the owner to send me more pictures, fender tag and any info he can on the car. I have asked about the history.

The car has a Mr. Norms decal (old been there for years) on what looks to be the original paint. The decal is located on drivers side trunk lid.

My question is, how do I find out if it's a real Mr. Norms 340 4spd Dart?

I know there was a fire that destored a lot of the original files from the dealer ship. I used to know a guy who had a 1972 GSS Demon and had the name of the person who had all the records.

So any help you can give me on what to ask, how to find out, who to talk and what clues it would be a fake mr. Norm car would be great.

If it is not real I'm still interested in the car if it is a real 340 4spd car and how solid it is, if it's rusted I will pass on it for the price of 4K.

Thanks everyone.

Contact that guy. He sells the dealer packet that Came from Mr. Norm's files. They vary as to what is in each file as does the price.

I think the guy I used to know may have passed away because I have not seen him on the boards. He had loads of knowledge on the 71-72 GSS Demons.

Do you or anyone know of the guy with the files?

I also used to talk with Mr. Norm and write for his club news letter, I'm sure if anyone was a member in the past read a few things that I did. I have tried to get in touch with Mr. Norms a few times in the past but right now he seems to be busy (more into himself) and not sure if he would give me the info.

I will keep trying to get info on this car and on who owns the files.

Those Mr. Norm Decals Could Be Gotten Anywhere! His Fan Club Gives Them Away And They Are For Sale On Ebag! It Only Takes One Person To Place It On The Car Where Norm Did! There Should Be A Bill Of Sale Or Information On The Title To Whether Or Not It Came From Grand Spauding Dodge! Emailing Govier In Wisconsin Might Turn Something Up!

This looks like a question for the For A-Bodies Only crowd, probably more experts on the A-Body platform over there, MAYBE.... Good luck & Happy Moparing either way....

I posted over there but I think no one has answered yet. I need to double check because I posted it on A, B and E body board to see if I get a few different asnwers.

There is a Mr. Norm's Club site, with a bio & allot of photos & history that might lead you to someone who knows.... I don't remember the "www.com" site address, you could "google" it maybe... Lot's of Mr. Norm's Info out there to be had...

Yeah I know the site I used to write for Mr. Norm's club news letter all the time and for the site, I see my writing has been taken off the site along with most of the stuff that was once there.

He may have a new site since he is doing stuff with Dodge again.

I did talk to him in an email and he gave me a name and number to call to see if the vin# is in the records.

Thanks and if you see any other info on the web let me know.
