1969 Super Bee

IMG_0605.jpgGot my dash and heater box etc.. out today trying to get her ready for media blast.

Looks like you may be still thinking of getting it blasted, Its a good way to make sure you find any and all problem areas. I was talking with my brother in law tonight and told him about all the resto's in here and the work everyone does so good, That led to his 69 R/T he had in the late 70's, it was a little darker blue then yours and had a 440 4-speed in it.. I don't look for him to join up with us but i do hope he sees this one when he checks it out, maybe he will get back to the right side of the brand names lol, he restored a 72 Formula and is doing a 65 Mustang now for his grandson, He sees your car, you just never know what may be in his shop next! Continued good luck to you Darrell This is going to be a great car! Ok, greater car? :)

Thanks Ron, I've got a long road in front of me but this is the one car I have always wanted. So I'm going to make sure it's done right.

Don't blame you, you wont be sorry when its finished doing it that way! a couple years down that long road, you'll have something you can think back on with a smile.. post a lot of info and pictures, This will be in the archives here and you'll have some fun looking back at it later..

welcome Darrell, nice car and make it a 4 speed! I have a 69 Bee myself and changed the auto to a 4 speed. you wont be sorry, there's nothing like a 4 speed, big block mopar. Except maybe a 5 or 6 speed!! Which I'm thinking about doing, so I can do a little highway cruzin with out having to fill up every 60 miles."lol" well Best of luck on you're resto!

Just got finished replacing the passenger side rear foot well area and part of the main front pan.IMG_0611.jpg Seam sealed and shot some primer on it as well for now.

I try to work on it a little every weekend, I will really be glad when the metal work is finished and it's on it's way to a painter.

Looking good. Keep the progress pics. coming.

looks like the turkey the day after Thanksgiving!

Looks like a great car to restore. I don't see much rust a t all. Solid foundation. Good luck with the build.

Thanks Guys, it is a pretty solid car, just the usual trunk floor and lower quarters and couple other small areas.

welcome to FBBO great project car, I do love them Super Bees, love the B5 blue too... looks like your comen' along nicely keep up the great work... if you want the 4speed & do it right with the correct parts, especially if your not going to sell it... IMHFO it won't hurt the value anyway, most people except maybe the overly **** retentive purists, would just except it as a good decision/swap... there's nothen' like rowing the gears on an old muscle car... besides you can always save all the old original parts, to go with the car if you ever planned on selling anyway... good luck

the 69 b is absolutely my favorite. Infact my son asked me not to long ago. if you could buy any car youwanted, what would it be. i didnt even have to think about it. A69 super bee, son. looking forward to the build.

Darrel, Great to see you back on it and it being in better shape then you expected.. Sure looks different sitting in the drive way on the rotisserie but you'll get it, Wanting one of these this long and now this close, i bet the neighbors will know when the old girl is brought back to life :) looking forward to the updates, again good luck!
