I think I read on here some time back that the trim option that put the trim at the bottom of the quarter glass and along the top of the door was not available on post cars. Can anyone verify this or tell me why it was not available?

Thanks,
Chris

Are you talking M31 belt line molding?

If yes, then it was available on WM21, it's just not a common option and you don't see it very much.

Only about 5-6% (~425-450 cars )have it.

Yes M31 is the code. Mine has it and I thought I saw on here where someone stated you could not get that option with a post car. I was thinking mine may be a dealer add on if that was possible.

The broadcast sheet is in pretty bad shape and I can't make out that area. It looks factory and in my opinion looks good on cars.

Thanks for the info.

Sure it was possible the dealer added it but M31 is a legitimate option for an WM21 car. It's just not common.
Do you have the broadcast sheet? It would be on there.

Here's a copy of the data book on Hamtramck Historical showing availability.
