1970 b-body Passenger Mirror Option

That’s an understatement if there ever was one. I find that the right side mirrors on my Chargers are completely useless.
Might try one of those convex spot mirror addons. Put some looped tape on the back side to see if you think you like it before pulling the backing off because once you stick it on, it isn't real easy to get off. I do that to all of my vehicles now and have been doing that for over 30 years now and not a soul has said anything to me about using them.

I disagree about "completely useless".

You do have to aim it directly at your blind spot, which means you don't see any of your car.
That can be a bit disconcerting at first.
...but glancing over and seeing a big grille in it when you can't see anything in the somewhat large C pillar view block on our cars can be a life saver.

Some common shapes, like round and simple oval are available as convex, stick on, overlays that turn vintage mirrors into "objects in mirror are closer..." mirrors.

Plus when you get older, turning the head 360* isn't as easy as it used to be.....

Alright, it's 97% completely useless.

Also helps me back out of garage without scraping the doorway.

Well we made it to 6. So is it the functioning of the mirror like droop the issue or just any flat mirror in that position is useless? I basically have holes and a flat spot intended for a mirror to fill. Weather it’s of use really isn’t all that important to me.

I don't think there should be a "flat spot".

I have seen people torque the large nut down so much that the metal distorts, though.

Was that your right or my right?
I know a guy who got both arms cut off and once they were reattached, they were on opposite sides of his body....his right became the left and vice versa but he still had a right and left eye where they belonged. At least he still could see right...

That’s what I’m talking bout!

Ok not a flat spot but it’s dimpled from the press as a secondary operation at the stamping plant. You can see clearly what I am referring to.

I wasn't gonna say it since I brought it up in the first place, but I agree.

It's real easy to over tighten the mounting hardware and cause that, although that's one of the worst ones I've ever seen.

Usually it's just the large stud/nut.

It’s very uniform. If thats not factory then that was some cranking and a nice die albeit a mirror was used…. I would love to see a factory door with a right side I mean passenger side mirror looks like. But either way I’ll put a mirror on it lol.

Been a long time since pulling off a right (right?) side mirror but don't recall seeing sheet metal that bad....although one was close.
