You want to take off just the stainless part or the whole Badge?

What ya got in your's K Dog ?? How long ya had it?
I bought mine in March 2000. It is originally a 500 model and it came with a 318, 4 wheel drum brakes and GREEN inside and out.
Within the first 4 years I did the body and paint work, (only the rear window opening and trunk floor were rusty) built one standard bore 440, a .030 440 with more compression and a bigger cam, then finally the current engine, a 440 based 493. I liked the R/T emblems and rear stripe so I made mine a fake R/T minus the stock door scoops like the originals had.
This past year I have been toying with a color change to B-5 blue like yours. I think that color looks fantastic on just about everything. In reality, I might just respray mine with a red pearl over the current color. The new crop of Challengers have a color called "Redline Pearl Tri-Coat" that is basically a red metallic.
Were you looking for A 4 speed car or did you just get lucky here?

Great looking Charger!

As for the rear end vibration, set the rear end up on jackstands in your garage and run it in gear. See what the wheel is doing. Swap rear wheels and see if the problem follows the wheel. Could be a bent rim, could be a bent axle.

Nice car and welcome, I had one myself in the early eighties, 70 R/T six pack 4 speed (track pack) it was bronze with a tan interior, yours looks much better.
Try the things stated above for the vibration and you should find it.

Welcome. Nice Car!

Check your U-joints

I need to replace the left and right R/t badges anyone know how to take off the old ones without damaging the paint I was thinking maybe a adhesive solvent of some sort anybody down this before ? Looks
Like previous owner peeled
Off the metal part of a new badge and glued it to the black backing . Anyways Any advice would be great .
I'd try heating it with a hair dryer and pry it from the backside with a wooden popsicle stick.

Your sounds great ! Yes I wanted a 4 speed car love the pistol grip etc.... also I wanted a #s car and took awhile and a lot of research and checking the wb etc .. then this One popped up and I was able to get the price point where I wanted it and pulled the trigger ! I love the color Blue being my favorite I have a #'s matching 56 Belair in simular blue and just love it so finding a blue Charger 4 speed original that was always that color pure luck and timing was right . I've had it since last Sunday afternoon when it was delivered And have driven it everyday all over the place just love it ... it's not completely show quality buts it's a driver and couldn't be happier someday I'll get some of the dents out and get it repainted with really really good paint but for now it's Perfect and can drive it anywhere without any worry And that I Love!! So happy to be apart of these cars ...
What's great about the color Is it changes in diff lights throught the day ..

The whole thing, looks like whomever had it repainted taped them off and bought new ones and only tried to replace the stainless part as ya mentioned and bent them all
Up I'm the process... I guess I'll
Try and heat them up and maybe a solvent that removes glue

Chestrockwell, Very nice 70' Charger R/T, welcome to FBBO. From the East end of the Country. Hey just in case you have LEFT HAND LUG NUTS on your Charger's left side wheels yet, they turn Clockwise to remove.
Lug nuts should have an "L" stamped on a flat of the nut and on the end of the stud.
You cannot see the stud marking till you have the lug nut off.
Here's a place with some more nice pictures of 1970 Chargers.

Welcome from another 70' Charger owner (X2) & nice 70' Charger. Can't get much better than B5 blue. My 70' Challenger is also B5 blue.

Wish I could I'll be Hunting last couple weeks of October .. are there any others ?
Google SoCalcarculture - you’ll find all the local shows in SoCal. There are a lot of smaller ones. Just went to one tonight in Laguna Hills. We don’t live to far apart. I live in Aliso Viejo about 10 miles from Costa Mesa. We should connect some time and share war stories. Or meet up at a local show. There’s a show and cruise every Weds in Huntington Beach.
