I have the transgo shift kit so no drainback- anyway you check hot then when it's cold file a notch on your dipstick

It still has all the original parts, Trans, stick and such and the stick has the factory notch. What I did notice is that it appears the more you drive it the higher the tranny fluid level I see at the stick. I've never seen that before.
 
Presure buildup will cause high fluid levels.
Time to drain it. Find out what the fluid really looks like. Check for particals in the pan. Check the bands.
Get prepaired to drop it for a rebuild?
 
That's what I'm thinking too, it's time to drop it and disassemble. I hope going forward the motor in this car doesn't meet the same fate. Supposedly both have been rebuilt.
