Haven’t posting in awhile.

Picked up this 71 SuperBee recently

Lots of cool options on it

Citron Yella, airgrabber hood, power sunroof, front and rear spoilers, dual painted racing mirrors.

Oddly enough it doesn’t have the sunroof code on the fender tag and no special VON either. I don’t know if that was a lynch road thing or if early built sunroof cars in 71 didn’t get the m51 code?

It’s got the proper drain tubes and definitely looks original to the car

That was very Kool when it rolled out in 71. I would love to see it back on the road.

Very kool car! Yeah… the Lynch Rd. car had a lot of options that didn’t appear on the fender tag.

Very nice Bee! Due to its early production August 10th build date, that might be why the fender tag didn't have the sunroof code. Probably later-built cars had the M51 code listed.

And it’s coded V1X for the Full Vinyl Top - Black

Cool beans - Cool car

Woah! Way cool car. hope to see it get restored!

My 71 is the same color. Cool find, gonna be amazing when it gets restored, there can't be very many Super Bee cars built with a factory electric sunroof and the N96 Ramcharger hood option!

Not saying this is your car, but back in about 80-81 there was a guy in SW Ontario that merged a written off 71 Super Bee and a written off 71 SE. It was finished in Super Bee livery but he incorporated all of the SE bling that he could. Including the factory sun roof. He purchased a 383 4spd (from a 69 Super Bee) from me with the intent of making it a 4spd. car. When he came up against the incorrect tailstock he left it an automatic. Not sure what became of the car, I lost track of it about 40 years ago.

Yeah can’t be too many, especially in Canada. I’d guess a dealership ordered it to show off in the showroom. Cool bee you’ve got, looks like it had a much nicer life haha

This one is an Alberta car. The owners brother lost control and skidded into a tree. The engine/trans were pulled and the car was shoved out back at their farm. Sat 30+ years before the guy I bought it from got it that was about 15 years ago.

I may be wrong, but I think the B at the start of the VON may be the key to the sun roof. I think the early Lynch Road cars didn't have the M52 code.

Since the factory power sunroof was an outside the factory install, they did not put M51 on the fender tags for the 1969-1972 cars. As for the VON, the B just indicates this car was destined for a Canadian dealership (Along with the lone C on the tag). This would be the 3rd factory appearing sunroof car I have in the Mopar Sunroof Registry that did not have the usual G00 beginning to the VON. Maybe its due to it being a very early car, or maybe the Canada B-VON trumps the G00 sunroof VON, or maybe it was just a tag coding mistake - hard to say at this point. I am glad this car finally found a good home, and I hope that it gets put back to as close to stock as possible. Definitely a cool car! Good luck!

Hi
This is probably a Promo Cat. The 8 10 production, color and options and the low sequence number back that up.. Super rare piece of history. Does it have a build sheet?
Also if you need any help with sourcing roof parts PM me. I have had mine for 38 years.

Super cool find, I love everything about this car.

Good luck with it! It will be a stunning ride when done.
