Ok,I'm finally getting the engine back together in the car and I am trying to understand how to set up the factory breather(s), PVC etc. Enclosed are pictures showing the valve covers and holes I need plugged.

To complicate things a bit I have the non-factory six-pack setup on the car. Also, the car had non-factory M/T valve covers on it.

Right now I have the brake booster vacuum plugged into the back of the intake manifold. This is how I found it when I bought the car.

On the passenger side of the car there is a vacuum line with a PVC on the end of it and I'm thinking I need a breather/PVC type assembly to plug the rear hole in the valve cover? On the driver side I do have what looks like a hole with a rubber grommet that I guess should have been for a PVC, but there is nothing there right now..

I don't think the 6 pack makes all that much difference in this situation. You need a PCV valve on one side and a breather that is connected to the air cleaner on the other side.

The PCV valve mounts on the driver side valve cover. The grommet there now in your picture is an aftermarket that does not fit the original valve. The valve in your other picture is a non Mopar type. The PCV hose connects as seen to the carburetor base and is routed behind the intake to the valve on the driver side. The crankcase breather mounts on the passenger side valve cover. Yours is missing the factory grommet.

For the driver side, the original PCV valve grommet is Chrysler number 2946079. For the passenger side, the crankcase breather grommet is Chrysler number is 3751510.

The following image shows my stock valve covers with grommets and oil filler cap.

The following two images show my ~1970 440 engine in my T/A Challenger with Cal Custom valve covers but with the stock style grommets in the approximate stock locations and my routing of the PCV hose (which is not quite like factory) to the Mopar PCV valve. I use the stock crankcase breather on this. Note the oil filler cap on these is on the driver side, unlike factory.

These grommets were also available with a chrome filler cap, chrome bolts, and plug for late small block truck truck valve covers in Direct Connection/Mopar Performance number P4120272.

Look at 72RoadrunnerGTX pictures above, he shows exactly what you need. The valve cover you show is wrong with the wire holder at the rear.
