I am looking for a OEM jack assembly for a 74 Charger, but what does a correct jack for a 74 charger look like? Are there partno's? Is it grey or black or can it be both?

The part numbers for a 1974 Charger jack assembly are as follows:
- Base: 3595721
- Jack (housing & rack bar): 3595720
- Handle/wrench: 3464978

Thanks! So, the parts are all black and NOT any of them is grey as in the picture below? The stand is also NOT copper colored originally? Or are there quit a few color combinations? Are there any no's or marks on the components itself? To what model year or what car line does the jack assembly in the picture below belong to? Thanks again!

The units I have seen for 1974 through 1977 are black. My 1975, 1976 and 1977 B-body jacks are black as is my 1967 B-body. Our 1971 GTX is black with a green hook. My 1970 Duster jack is black. My 1970 Charger, and 1972 B-body jacks are grey as are my 1970 E-bodies (but those use the silver T-shaped solid jack bar). Different production runs or suppliers might differ in color though. 1971 and earlier did not use the finger jacks for slotted bumpers. In 1978, Chrysler began switching to scissors jacks.

There are no part numbers on the finger jack parts, but there can be manufacturing stampings and the base usually has the caution decal. Your pictured jack could be OEM for 1974, but it does appear to have been repainted. The jack bar also appears to have been recoated or tinted.

The original tubular jack bar is cadmium or irridite plated (a goldish color with hints of green and orange). The jack bar is faded and corroded on my pictured jack, but the plating is still present. This particular jack I pictured is from a 1974 New Yorker which is a similar finger jack to the B-body.

My original 1973 Duster jack shown here is grey and the cadmium/irridite jack bar can be seen better.

My 74 Charger has a jack and base the same color as Vaanth's 73 Duster. Both are grey.

Do you have a picture of the complete set?

Ok.. Well my Charger came with I now for sure with a grey base plate.. So, I think grey was more like OEM than black. Maybe it differed for each of the two plants...?

It is very possible different plants would have different colors. My car is from the Lynch Road plant. I have two different tire wrenches so I'm not sure which is correct. One is shorter than the other. The shorter one looks like the one in the photo you posted. The grey is a bit lighter than how it shows in my photo. I've read that some use grey primer and a satin clear coat to replicate it. The jack shaft has a bit more color than what you see, but definitely not like the photo you posted.

Does anyone have a pictures of a OEM jack for a 74 charger and measurements? There is now a black one, one from a A body and one of which it is not certain that it is from a 74 charger .... . Jack's seem very complicated stuff... Thanks everyone so far, but we have to dig a little deeper.
