I have a 79 300 that I pulled the motor and rebuilt. Going back together with it, I decided to try an HEI swap to clean up the engine compartment. Works great and the firewall looks much better uncluttered. I simplified the factory harness and eliminated the wires that ran to the lean burn, distributor, and coil. Im trying to figure out which wire goes to the factory tach so I can hook it back up but Im having a hard time finding a wiring diagram for a 79. Latest diagram I can find is for a 76 Charger. Im sure these are probably pretty similar but Im not sure. Does anyone have any ideas or know what color wire goes to the tach? The diagram I found just shows the printed circuit but doesnt say what pin goes to what. Im stuck.
