2015 5th Annual FABO NHRA "Pick 'Em" Game - Are You Ready To Make Your Picks???

Nice job GP and Bud! Now bring this thing home with a 1-2 FBBO finish!

One event left...plenty of time to choke. LOL

Thanks guys

Yea ha !!

up +4, that's a shock

159.5 pts, that's a shock

even a blind squirrel finds a nut now & then...LOL

way to go Gpuller, way to represent FBBO

Pomona Picks
NHRA World Finals

I'll get them in now, it's not going to change, I hope anyway...LOL

T/F Antron Brown

F/C Del Worsham

P/S Erica Enders-Stephens {miss piggy}

P/SM Jerry Savoie

let em' ride,
they're still my favorites to run well, hopefully for wins too @ Pomona

{I'd actually like to see my sentimental favorites like
T/F Clay Millican, F/C Ron Capps, P/S Allen Johnson & P/SM Matt Smith all win,
but that's not good for points, because of betting or picking with my heart & not my brain
...LOL
}

I also think JFR team will make a statement at their home track too...

Here's your usual Tuesday before the event reminder to get your picks posted before the start of qualifying for the 51st annual Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona in Pomona, CA. This is the last race of the 2015 NHRA season.
The first round of Pro Qualifying is scheduled to start at 3:00PM EST (12:00Noon PST) on Friday, November 13, and I'll have my butt parked in the stands ready to get my final "nitro fix" of the year. I just hope there will be a gentle breeze blowin' from the west.

As always, PLEASE check to make sure your driver is participating at the Auto Club Finals.

PLEASE check http://www.nhra.com/events/entrylist24.aspx for an updated entry list. The pits in Pomona are going to be full since NHRA.com currently shows 20 Top Fuel, 22 Funny Car, 18 Pro Stock and 28 Pro Stock Motorcycle entries. The entry counts are still subject to change.

Remember, the "carryover" feature from the earlier events this season is no longer in effect. No event bonus points if your picks are not posted prior to the start of qualifying; and no points for the event if your picks are not posted before the start of Sunday eliminations! If you miss posting picks for two consecutive events during the Countdown, or do not have "locked in" picks, you will be dropped from the game for the remainder of the season.

Post 'em up and good luck!

Since I'm way out of it for this year, I'll go with some of my favorites for the finals.

TF: Clay Millican
FC: Tim Wilkerson
PS: Allen Johnson
PSM: Chip Ellis

Good luck everyone!

TF Antron Brown
FC Del Worsham
PS Erica Enders Stevens
PSM Hines

Hopefully picking the points leaders will work. Maybe not. LOL
Good Luck!

Pomona weather forecast is outstanding for racing!
75F on Friday
73F on Saturday
64F and 40% chance of rain on Sunday

Low temps for eliminations...LOOK OUT!

Hope to see some great & record runs in SoCal

Last race for ESPN2, hope next years coverage is far better,
farewell to ESPN2 & Mike Dunn

good luck guys

So...some of you don't seem to care much for Erica Enders

Well, if the info on the racingjunkie.sportsblog.com website is correct, you may have to change your tune. Here's what was posted regarding 2016 Pro Stock:

* Allen Johnson will not be back in 2016. He's set to retire after Pomona since they lost the Mopar sponsorship
* The Mopar sponsorship will be with Elite Motorsports next year with Erica Enders and Jeg Coughlin Jr. driving the Dodge Darts that are being purchased from the Allen Johnson team.
* Elite Motorsports will also run two Camaros in 2016, driven by Vincent Nobile (Mountainview Tire sponsorship) and Drew Skillman (his Grandfather's car dealer sponsorship).
* Summit Racing is reportedly pulling their sponsorship from KB Racing which will leave Greg Anderson and Jason Line without a major sponsor. It's unknown at this point if KB Racing may sit out the 2016 season or if Ken Black retire and sell the operation.
* It's also unknown where the Summit Racing sponsorship may be in 2016.
* Both Shane and Johnny Gray have both decided to quit driving Pro Stocks so they can concentrate on their families and business. Gray Motorsports may still field one car in 2016 and both Greg Anderson and Jason Line have been linked to the ride.
* Gray Motorsports will continue their engine building and leasing programs.

Talk about "Silly Season"!!!

WOW! WOW!
So Pro Stock will just be an Elite Motorsport class. Too bad.
Mopar pull the sponsorship from Johnson Racing because of performance or did Allan and Roy want to retire?

I hope Mopar will field & fund more teams...
Even if it is miss piggy driving one of them...

I like Jeggy being back in a Mopar too

IIRC I read sometime back one of the Grays, I don't remember which one, or where I saw it either...
It may have been Sr. {?}, anyway they were going to race Pro-Mod
{I'm not sure how many cars 1 or maybe 2},
in the few {8? or so} races, or how ever many they will have next season...

Don't quote me on that, I'm just going by memory...LOL

Yeah, I remember that too. But I don't remember the specifics.

Antron Brown
John Force
Erica Enders
Eddie Kreiwic

Go get them Gpuller and Bud !!!!

Ill go with

TF- Tony Schumacher
FC- Matt Hagan
PS- Greg Anderson
PSM- Eddie Krawiec

I saw today, that the soon to be former F/C driver Tony Pedregon,
will replace Mike Dunn in the announcers booth
on FoxSP1 NHRA coverage next season

"Allegedly" the NHRA & Fox Sports 1,
supposedly NHRA/FOX will have more live coverage too
Friday Qual., Sat. Qual., & Sunday in parts too,
with like 16 total live broadcasted races &
something like 4 of {IIRC more ? maybe ?} which will be on
the reg. Fox networks...

I just thought I'd share , if anyone actually cares...
