2019 9th Annual FABO NHRA "Pick 'Em" Game - Are You Ready For Some NITRO?!!

Sonoma TV coverage is a 3-parter today...I hope this is either just an experiment or something out of necessity dictated by the networks and not something NHRA is planning for the future.

Sunday Finals Top Fuel and Funny Car eliminations on at 5:00-7:00pm EDT (2:00-4:00pm PDT) on FOX

Did you catch the video of Beau Layne's Top Fuel Harley crash in Q1? Not hurt after crossing over from the left lane through the right lane and crashing into the wall, then rolling quite a ways down the track. His bike kept going and punched through the first catch net, through the sand trap and finally stopped by the last catch net. Wild ride!

I'll check it out Saturday
That stuff is scary!

Congratulations to 'Moms Duster' (FABO) for winning the Top Qualifier title for the 2019 NHRA Northwest Nationals with a very nice total of 21.0 bonus points. 'Moms Duster' (FABO) picked the #2 qualifier in Funny Car, the #3 qualifier in Pro Stock and the #4 qualifier in Top Fuel. Way to go!
'Nick2317' (FBBO) and 'super-bee_ski' (FABO) shared the runner-up qualifying spot with 19.5 bonus points each.
More great picks!

We have 17 players this week and 15 different driver combos made up of:
* 5 different Top Fuel drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of two head-to-head matchup in Round 2.
* 7 different Funny Car drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of three Round 2 head-to-head matchups.

* 6 different Pro Stock drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of 2 Round 2 head-to-head matchups.
* 5 different Pro Stock Motorcycle drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of one Round 2 head-to-head matchup.

Great pick Budnicks!
Force gets 150!
WOW!
And oh, yeah, thanks for the F-bombs John!
Oh my gosh, I was shocked he said that but it seems like he did need to get that Monkey off his back!

I certainly needed Gregg Anderson to win...darn!

Nice work, Nick and Ski! My picking sucked...as usual. Interesting coverage and some observations.

Great coverage of Tasca's crew tearing down the engine to see what happened when it blew up on the qualifying show. That kind of interesting different stuff is what they've needed for years.

Nice feature on Mike Salinas. I like him and regretted not picking him as I have most of the season.

Nice to see Hartford win in PS. Nothing against Anderson, and I would have been fine with him sweeping, but it's nice to see someone else win.

Force was in rare form (even for him) - dropping F and S bombs on live TV and hopping a fence like a madman. Looked like he over did it at the end. LOL

Disappointed once again in the lack of coverage of Leeza Diehl. She needs more screen time rather than them cutting to something way less interesting while she's backing up and staging the Surfer's car. Just my 2 cents on that. :moparsmiley:

Yes Bel,
Great story (Background) on Mike Salinas!
I too thought of picking him.
And Hartford's ET was GREAT.
Yup, how about those F-Bombs!
Oh gosh, should not have happened in my opinion.
He has done that before.
He is 70, I think he's retiring this year.

Yep I did
that was a real tumble down the track
supposedly has to have some cosmetic surgery on one of his arms
shocking that's all from that crazy tumble down the track
