2019 9th Annual FABO NHRA "Pick 'Em" Game - Are You Ready For Some NITRO?!!

Yeah I was really routing for Steve Johnson. Jerry Savoie was ok to see win, though.

So I led us on FBBO - and I still dropped a spot! LOL we all kind of sucked this week, didn't we?

I certainly did...
Too funny, when "I make a pick" the driver seems to "Blow it"
Two weeks ago Erica Enders RED Lighted
Last week Bob Tasca III Lost traction, out!

Ha Ha,
Yeah Bel, it's like some of the other guys have a Crystal Ball

Anybody know how to get in touch with 'Nick2317' outside of FBBO? His inbox is full - tried to send him a PM. He didn't post game picks for the Midwest Nationals.
It's too late to post picks for event bonus points but he can still pick up Sunday round win points if he'll post picks.

Grrr what the hell I didn't get any post notifications for this even though I follow this whole thing .....

Just carry my picks over that way I wont get any advantage from qualifying

Congratulations to 'super-bee_ski' (FBBO) for winning the Top Qualifier title for the 2019 NHRA Midwest Nationals with a very nice total of 28.5 bonus points. He picked the #1 qualifier in both Funny Car and Pro Stock, the #4 qualifier in Top Fuel and the #5 qualifier in Pr Stock Motorcycle Funny Car. Way to go!
'johnnycuda' (FABO) and 'alsant' (FBBO) shared the runner-up qualifying spot with 28.0 bonus points.
More great picks!

We have 16 players this week and 16 different driver combos made up of:
* 5 different Top Fuel drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2.
* 7 different Funny Car drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #8 qualifier J.R. Toddohnson Jr. (2 picks) and #9 qualifier Jack Beckman (1 pick). There is a possibility of three Round 2 head-to-head matchups.
* 5 different Pro Stock drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2.
* 5 different Pro Stock Motorcycle drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round 1.

Good luck all!

Nice work alsant and ski! I see I picked like a dope again. I suppose Salinas will win since I didn't pick him and Kalitta will be a first round casualty.

Nice qualifying Picks Ski & aslant

I think I shot myself in the foot
damn crystal ball has fogged up :fool:

that's what I get for going rogue :poke:

oh well, had to try to make up some points :jackoff:

always next event

I just read that Cory McClenathan is going to run Dexter Tuttle's Top Fuel car in the final 3 races of the 2019 NHRA season and then hang up his driving gloves and retire.
It will be good to see Cory Mac back on the track, but it will be bittersweet knowing he's retiring after Pomona. But I'll be there to cheer him on.
