I certainly SUCK at this!

I had 2 winners T/F Steve Torrence
& P/S Bo Butner
1 runner up P/SM Eddie Kraweic
F/C Robert Hight went out early, tire smoke

it's good to see Ron Capps win again

lots of tire smoking at Virginia
hot track 136*+,
track at 186' elevation, with RAD at over 2000'

amen with Ron Capps, Budnicks...yup!
You are doing well!
Im glad for you!
My new formula is
Find a winning horse & ride that SOB, to the play offs
then rethink the picks after that

I quit going for/picking my favorite driver/teams
(Ron Capps is one of my favorites, so is Antron Brown)

doing better that way, so far :poke:

there's a few people/drivers/teams
no matter how good, I will not pick anymore,
they qualify well, but they always lose, for some reason
or they pull a douchebag statement/move or too passive etc.
or acting lame (like P/SM Matt Smith lately)

I'm stubborn that way

Yeah, I will try that
I always say: Robert Height and Steve Torrence are HOT
But, then my stupid logic kicks in and says: "the odds are against them this week..."
Oy vaye!

Have patience - I hope to get the Virginia Nationals results posted in the next couple of day.
It's been a very busy time lately. A friend of mine from Australia arrived last Thursday so I've been busy with him and our Inland Mopars car club annual all-Mopar car show was last Sunday so the weekend was full of car show prep on Saturday and car show on Sunday.

I have to get my pics in early for Joliet.

Here's your Tuesday before the event reminder for the 22nd annual Route 66 NHRA Nationals at Route 66 Raceway in Elwood, IL.
Professional classes at the Route 66 Nationals start Friday, May 30th.

This may be another 'iffy' event due to forecasted weather. Current forecast is calling for a high temp of 77F on Friday with a 10% chance of moisture throughout the day. The Saturday forecast is for a high temp of 77F with a 50% chance of thunderstorms from 11AM to 4PM followed by light rain and a chance of more thuderstorms until 8PM. The Sunday forecast shows a high temp of 68F with partly sunny increasing to sunny through the racing hours.
The current entry list is the same as my post yesterday:
21 Top Fuel
19 Funny Car
19 Pro Stock
18 Pro Stock Motorcycle

Get your picks posted!
But make sure your driver is entered to race at the Route 66 Nationals.

Saw a post on nhra.com saying Jonnie Lindberg will not be behind the wheel of Jim Head's Funny Car at Chicago. He's back home in Sweden getting some paperwork done in preparation of becoming a US citizen. Jonnie should be back at the helm in time for the race in Topeka the following weekend.
Jeff Arend will pilot the Head ride at Chicago.
