Preaching to the choir, want to smash iPad sometimes. Getting warm here Jack. Best way to disable if panic alarm goes nuts? Pull powerat battery? Had the Yuasa battery in my BMW motorcycle back in the day. 1990 and this one still works, amazing.

Disconnecting the battery is only half. Remember the tan colored plug in transformer? Unplug that and batt and your off. Code + off button will turn panic off. Whats the panels model #?

Link in post #17 is all you need. User controls on these panels really did not differ for 25 years. 4110, Vista 10/20/21ip etc, doesn't matter. CODE+9 is chime on/off. If you don't know the code your still out of luck. Need to default and reprogram or replace. Take a picture of the panel in the tan box, that will answer what model the controller is for sure. Disassembling the keypad is not going to do anything for you.

i swear, i didn't think Dennis would get an answer on this thread. some real helpful folks here.

D here is the install manual in case you need it, 69L48Z27 has already given you the link to the user manual, Also here is the programming manual. The default programming code is in there see if it works, if not I'll send you the back door way to get in. I also still have my old call up hardware and software to remote connect lol not sure if it still works or not would be funny it did on voiceip lines everyone is using the internet or cell sigs now. Let me know what you want to do. If the system still works then use it those ademco panels are good and tough like an old mopar, is why we installed the **** outta them ha. I'm a dealer for Honeywell so if you need anything just shout.

Got it sorted out. Thanks everyone. Had local help too from a Mopar guy. Sophisticated system for its time. Everything works as designed.
