Just a thought, but I am getting a '70s 318-3 industrial engine from a guy. I know they have lower compression, different heads, HD crank, double roller chain, extra ring on the piston, etc... sounds like a great engine to build!

And I'm no fabrication genius like some of you guys but a turbocharger & intercooler seems a natural pairing with such an engine, fairly low-buck. Mild, maybe 5 or 6 pounds of boost in the midrange.

Any thoughts?

Any knowledge on what, other than plug size and valve rotators, is different on the -3 industrial heads?

Thanks in advance!

if the engine is otherwise mechanically sound I see no reason why you wouldn't want to put a lung on it. I say go for it :pimp_daddy:
