Well we are getting closer to the big swap aint she sexy

wondering if this intake may be to high .. going into my 71 sebring plus
also hope this oil pan will fit down in k frame

Nice color combo on the engine! I painted mine FY1 yellow to match the body color than used black and chrome accessories.

Even if the guy does come threw and takes it ..he did tell me his grill was good and that he ebays and ships stuff... so i will be sure to send your info with him and maybe we can get you the grill and light lens either way :laughing4:
he does belong to this group B Bodies but i dont know his name on here yet

That is one hell of a color combo!!! Nice build up!!! I did mine in a bright, candy type red with black accents and black wrinkle M/T valve covers...photos when it's done.

Hi Guys
Finaly got the 440 and 4 speed into my 71 ssp sure fits nice except the carb only has 2 3/4 inches clearance from air cleaner flange to hood any ideas for an aircleaner OF SOME SORT ?

Has anyone used one of these befor ? Says it only requires 2.4 inches between hood and carb

Edelbrock pro-flow on jegs.com, Edelbrock #350-1002. Only 2&1/2in. high. My friend had one on his 55 chevy 210 street rod. It worked with his limited space.

Im having the same prob with room for a air cleaner-and im devistated I cant use my dual snorkel (3/4 a inch too big)
with my indy heads/intake/950 carb

I saw this one takes only 2.150 " from carb to hood-

wow that gives a little better clearance ....they are both the same price..mmmmmmmm.....does the cones on your snorkel hit the valve covers .. Is that what u mean ?

I wish it were the snorkels hitting my valve covers-that way I could just bang them in and no problem-

The front of the air cleaner actually hits the hood and is pushing is pushing it up-slightly also the middle of the lid actially touches the hood also and not just one of the suport bars going across... I have no problem using a grinder

Ill definitly have to try that K&N or the triangular edelbrock one
