318 fan question

If i take off the 4 bolts for the fan does the spacer come off as well?

Yes it should, problem is the bolts are about 3 inches long and you will need to probably pull the radiator.

The aluminum spacer will likely be electrolized (stuck) to the metal fan blade. Yeah, radiator definitely needs to come out.

Nope, I doubt rad will need to be removed. Shove some thin wood or cardboard between the rad core & fan to prevent core damage.
Loosen fan bolts 3 turns. Hit spacer with plastic hammer or block of wood to loosen it.
Remove bolts & lift out fan & spacer as an assy.

Yep, pulled mine before changing the water pump, didn’t have to move the rad.
